Are you ready to let you soul shine? To be fulfilled in sharing your vision and your gifts with the world?

Right now on the planet, there is a major shift going on. We are shifting to the feminine. Old systems are breaking down.  This shift is occurring as more women step into their feminine leadership.  More than ever, we are being called to share our gifts to make a difference in the world.

And that’s what I’m here today to share with you: how you can start being a feminine leader in your life.

It starts with these three simple exercises that I lead you through. Excited to hear about your experience!

Tanya Paluso is the Co-Founder and CEO of Tribal Truth. Tanya quadrupled the tribe’s following in less than four months with her “Launch Formula” bringing women together at live events.

The story begins, however, with Tanya’s gypsy spirit to travel the world. After living abroad in China, Japan, Spain and South America, she moved to New York City to begin her journey in personal development. It was there that Tanya discovered her passion for community building when she started a project to bring her colleagues at Thomson Financial together to mentor inner city girls. The project was so successful that she won the 2006 Community Champion award out of 15,000 employees and raised over $30,000 for her partner non-profit, Girls Inc. After leaving corporate sales at Thomson to study at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, she started the non-profit Play 4 Life, Inc. to bring nutrition into inner city schools, again bringing community together for fundraiser events such as karaoke and dodgeball tournaments.

When she moved back to San Diego in 2008, she felt the calling, and started organizing small events for women to empower each other, which eventually morphed into Tribal Truth when she partnered with Novalena Betancourt. Tanya is most recently known for producing the sold out San Diego performance of Vagina Monologues with over 700 tickets sold in April 2011 to benefit non-profits preventing sexual violence. Now that’s putting a tribe behind a dream. www.tribal-truth.com

Welcome to the Cafe and thanks for being here with us on the last day of August! (What happened to summer?  It was like a flash…)

Tanya — I love the videos that you do on Tribal Truth Telling Tuesdays and thank you for creating this one for the Soul-filled Cafe.  You have a wonderful message for all of us and you are a great message for authenticity (or as one of my mentors and now I love to say, “The Soul loves the TRUTH”.)

My greyhound dog is asking for his walk, but I’ll be back soon….for more tribal truth.  :)

Tanya I love your video–it is a wonderful challenge for us to stand in our transformational power!

I am in the process of creating a Celtic Soul Experience week of events–3 concerts, a Celtic Spirituality retreat and an Irish music workshop, bringing in 3 powerfully gifted, healing musicians.  It has been a dream of mine to bring these people to the states and specifically Missouri where I live, and work with them putting together a retreat where we can combine our creative talents.  It’s been miraculous how the whole thing has come together for later this year–it is happening (website to sell tickets goes live in about a week!)  AND it is all happening because I recognized I could not do it myself.  I reached out and asked for support.  And it turns out. lots of people are excited about making this happen, so, not only am I living this dream, but I am doing it with several dynamic, creative people who are fun and supportive!

Thank you for the reminder of how important it is to be vulnerable, to extend compassion to ourselves, and to ask for help! The power is in the tribe!

Great exercises here today.  Thanks for sharing your gifts and building tribes to empower women and their dreams!

    Many blessings,

Tanya – I just re-watched your video.  (The first time I watched it was when you sent it over for the Cafe a couple weeks ago, and it was more of a “oh, yes, this is perfect”)  THIS TIME, I actually paused after each “secret” and did some journaling.

These are REALLY rich secrets.  Each one could have it’s own book and workshop to go with it!  But you really have brought forward 3 aspects of leadership that are KEY for women to embrace in themselves in order to help birth this new paradigm (that the world is CRAVING.)

Here are some of my reflections & question for you, on the secrets.
    #1 Be authentic + vulnerable.
This is always a growing edge for me.  Most recently I have had failures with programs I’ve launched that didn’t go how I wanted to — or I dropped the ball on (eek).  I have already shared it with at least 3 inner circle people in my life, but to share in a video…ooo, but I am considering it.   I like your teaching point that it’s about sharing the pain + the lessons + the breakthrus.

Q:  Do you ever think one can be “premature” in sharing their vulnerability.  Do you have areas of your life that are “off limits” for sharing in a public way?

    #2 Owning Your Worth.
I’ve spent A LOT on my eduction.  Beyond the traditional degrees (Masters and IVY League undergraduate degree), the past few years of learning could be traded in for a brand new Mercedes or Saab.  Instead of driving a nice car, I have a lot of know how in running an online biz. (!)

Q:  Translating your worth to “‘pricing” – how do you avoid the “what will people be willing to spend” (especially given this economy)?  Any thoughts on that.

#3 Stepping into our FEMININE leadership requires filling up your own tanks.
YES.  I used to lead workshops for a company that specialized in the difference between men and women.  A big difference is women are not built like men — we don’t the testosterone they have and self-nurturing is key to accessing our feminine gifts.  If we try to lead like a man, we will burn ourselves out.  (Plus lose a lot of our natural attractiveness)

Q:  Another trait that is different between men and women, our brains are wired differently.  We have are more “diffuse” than “focused”  But as entrepreneurs, to get “stuff done” we need to find ways to “focus” Do you have any tricks you use to stay on task and get things done?

    sweet….look forward to your input.

Hi Kimberly, Thanks for your share! It is amazing what magic shows up when you put your dream out there.

Did you do any of the exercises? Would love to hear about your experience :)

    Great questions Heather!
#1: I think it is important when being vulnerable to make sure it is in an empowering context. I don’t want to be a blubbering mess where my energy is low and I am dumping on people. So when I’m that down and out, I don’t share. I wait until I have come around the bend, then share what I learned from the breakdown.

#2: Ah, pricing. I don’t believe in playing into the “economy” conversation. We all have our own personal economies. This is why there are billionaires making more billions at this time of so-called economic crisis in the world.

People will spend money, and more money than they thought they could, where they see value.

I translate worth into how much I personally need to get paid for my time, energy and resources.

There are people who will say “no” and then the right people who will say “yes” no matter what the investment cost.

#3: To get stuff done, we need to limit our task list. We may have a master task list of the 101 things we need to get done today. Then I take the top 3 that would feel like the biggest accomplishment. Focus solely on those one at a time. Then I celebrate the WIN!

    Hi Ladies,

Keep bringing the awesome questions! I’m at the Soul Filled Cafe now until late this afternoon :)

Hi Tanya!  So great to see you here!  You are an inspiration.  So happy to hear about your meditation retreat.  That takes alot of courage!
Since TT (Tribebuilder), I have been without manifestation on my event.  My JV partner fell through, I haven’t been able to secure a venue, or a date.  I also have been having difficulty with the marketing.  I am still showing up, but so far, not so much in the manifestation column.  Taking inventory, I am not sure where the barriers are…
    Loveya!

    Hi Erin,
Have you been hard on yourself with the breakdowns? If so, that’s the first place to look. Get back in touch with how amazing you are and the work you do. Get back to the belief in yourself. You can do it. That’s usually the barrier.
    Love Tanya

Thanks for your reply Tanya.  These are great.

I love the tip to “limit our task list”!  Great reminder.  I have made a lot of changes to my work habits in the past year, and am a lot more productive than I used to be.  But I notice that the temptation is to then try to add more to the pile vs using the extra time for more nurturing activities.

And yup, I’ll avoid the blubbering mess public sharing.  ;)

Great to ‘see’ you Kimberly.  So excited for your upcoming Celtic Soul experience — I always love to see big projects as “growing me” in the process.  Soul-filled Cafe has been that way.  Learned so much in putting it out in bigger and bigger ways.

    blessings to you!!  h.

    Thanks, Tanya, and Heather!
You are bang-on, Tanya.  I believe that is really what has been happening and I also think that it has been a huge lesson.  I think the thickness of that habit has been thinning.  I can actually feel less invested in that habit-attitude.
Heather, I have been working to organize a yoga event, sharing subtle alignment and helping people to connect more deeply into their body.  It is a real paradigm shift, and very exciting.
